BlueCity Lab is a place where entrepreneurs can start the validation of a product or process which will contribute to the transition towards the circular economy.
The lab is located in the old changing rooms of the former tropical swimming pool Tropicana, and consists of four spaces: the Fabrication Lab, Fungi Lab, Biochemistry Lab and Microbiology Lab. Here, bioneers establish examples for a regenerative economy within the planetary boundaries by doing and experimenting.

The Frontrunner is scheduled for completion in Q4 2026.

At the centrally located building The Frontrunner on Noviotech Campus, office and laboratory space is available for rent. The following units are currently available:

First & second floor (incubator): as of 25 m2 office & 25 m2 lab
Third floor: 610 m2

The building has a total floor area of 2,740 m² GFA and consists of four floors. The ground floor will feature a restaurant with a large terrace, office spaces, conference facilities, and flexible workstations. In addition, the building will have three upper floors offering space for offices and laboratories.

The remaining floors in the building will be used by other health and high tech companies, with the ground and second floors containing a number of central facilities and meeting spaces, such as a restaurant-café, conference room and meeting rooms.

In their fully equipped research centre, they can mimic any climate on earth. They have controlled environment growth chambers with artificial light, climate control and irrigation for plant growth, screening, enhancing nutrient formulations, and perfecting plant cultivation techniques.

The laboratories can be rented or their team of scientists can support you to achieve the most effective growing algorithms. Their customers range from biotechs to food producers, and greenhouse growers.

Open Kitchen Labs is a shared and fully facilitated lab space for start-ups in sustainability and biotechnology. With a gym-like subscription model, they unburden start-ups of the logistics and up-front investments for lab infrastructure.
Open Kitchen Labs users have the unique opportunity to work in flexible conditions with fellow start-ups. Sharing of knowledge and networking with other companies active in the same industry is highly appreciated among current users.

This facility has R&D- and QC labs and 11 cleanrooms for production of which 5 have now become available for renting including offices. The owner occupies the rest of the building and is open for f.i. implementing GMP, renting extra storage, space outside, cooling etc..

A unique state-of-the-art pilot vaccine production facility for sale or long-time rent on the Utrecht Science Park in Bilthoven.
In Building X four labs are available for BSL3 activities (187 m²). Two of these labs can be used for GMP activities. The laboratories are part of a pilot production factory.
The facility is ideally suited for the production of candidate vaccines for phase I and II clinical studies on safety and efficacy, under GMP conditions.

The laboratory spaces are located in the former innovation centre of the AVEBE in Veendam. In the building are several laboratory spaces, with different sizes and possibilities. In addition to renting laboratory space, there are also office, storage and meeting rooms for rent.

The cleanroom is part of the highly representative, recognizable and high-quality office building ‘The Satellite Building’. The entire facility includes various luxury turn-key office rooms (with a terrace), a control room with satellite antenna and a 49m2 cleanroom for rent.

The cleanroom is designed as an ISO 5 cleanroom, with a locker room, workspace, furniture and associated technical room.

The new multi-tenant building offers 22.000 m2 space for life sciences & health organizations and will be completed in the second quarter of 2022. The building has an outstanding BREEAM rating and is equipped with installations to deliver the typical life science operating materials.

The location houses spin-off companies in the field of cognitive neuroscience, an integrated scannerlab for three fMRI scanners with ultra-high magnetic fields and the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. Both knowledge institutions and companies can use the scanner lab.

The building was erected in 2012 to provide a single physical and virtual home for the business community, education and fundamental research in neuroscience. The building supports and encourages cooperation and collaboration among its tenants.

The incubator with laboratory and office facilities was newly built in 2005 for start-up companies in the field of Life Sciences. It has a GLA of approximately 6,000 m2 and houses about 30 start-ups in 2019.

The campus facilitates innovative entrepreneurs to develop new, sustainable materials and chemicals for the building materials and packaging industry from renewable feed stocks (biomass). A brand-new demo facility for pilot plants enables companies to scale up their biobased production.

It has a small process laboratory available where experiments can be carried out within fume hoods and in modern laboratory setups. In addition, there is cooperation with a range of specialized laboratories for upscaling biobased innovations.

High quality Iso-certified lab spaces with a great diversity of analytical and experimental equipment are available to startups, SMEs and large companies to perform life sciences and chemistry experiments.

All lab spaces are fully equipped with all standard laboratory equipment. Expertise and manpower can be delivered if required. The lab works as an open learning community based on open innovation and co-creation.

The accelerator offers space to growing life sciences research companies and organisations that have outgrown the incubator phase and need larger office space and laboratory volumes.

The ten-storey building has a total surface area of 8,500 square meters. Each floor is home to a number of offices, wet laboratories and lab-support rooms. The accelerator building was completed in 2003 and is physically connected to the life sciences incubator of the science park.

The center facilitates and accelerates innovations in the field of applied plastics technology. It offers (member) companies a.o. access to high-end accomodation and shared facilities.

Technology and equipment are readily available for use, for example, for injection moulding, extrusion, compounding, (powder) coating, 3D printing and material analyses.
Specialized testing areas are part of the facilities.

Hycult Biotech is a ISO-13485 certified manufacturer of research reagents in the field of innate immunity.

Besides offering research products, Hycult Biotech is also a dedicated partner when it comes to expanding manufacturing capabilities or outsourcing specialized handling procedures.
Its cleanroom facilities enable it to produce under GMP conditions and offer services such as microplate coating, lyophilization, antibody production and upscaling.

The high-quality research laboratories and mobility test facilities are located on a very extensive campus site.

All laboratories, simulators, control rooms and indoor and outdoor test facilities together on this campus site offer the possibility to research the most diverse new technologies in the field of smart and green mobility.

The labfacilities are part of an incubator. This building provides office space and 900 m² of high-quality labs. All laboratories are suitable for (bio)technological research at ML1 and ML2 safety level and are outfitted with a number of basic lab facilities. The incubator offers joint use of large, costly lab equipment like an autoclave, a freezing machine, a -80 degree freezer and weighing equipment.

The building is designed with several animated sites for interaction, informal consult and unplanned meetings.

The upscaling facility offers small and medium-sized businesses, large companies and research centres an infrastructure for working together on biobased product development and process optimisation. Within the facility researchers, students and entrepreneurs work together on biobased issues.

For an agreed fee, the business community can make use of the space, equipment and/or expertise of the facilty to test their laboratory results in a semi-industrial environment.

The multi-company building offers both offices and extensive laboratory facilities. The building is located within walking distance of the university medical centre.
The laboratories are equipped as standard with fume cupboards and lab tables.

Flexibility is an important principle for the manager, for example office units can be rented as from 20 m2.
The manager applies the ‘easy in – easy out’ principle, which translates into short rental periods specifically for starters.

Brand new laboratory facilities and support services to starting businesses in the chemical sector. The facilities are suitable for chemical, microbiological and biochemical research.

Lockable units with 6 fume hoods each and fume hoods in (lockable) open areas can already be rented for a period of three months.

Access is also granted to a number of shared utilities and services in the fields of procurement, analytical capacity and networking opportunities.

The multi-tenant business building houses companies active in the field of biotechnology. The accommodation includes both laboratory and office facilities and a meeting room.

The building is close to the city centre and in the immediate vicinity of the University Medical Centre. Medical expertise and clinical practice are easily accessible.

The centre rents laboratory space to companies and offers them facilities to set up pilot lines to carry out experiments in the field of watertechnology.

The shared accommodation includes lab spaces and cleanrooms, a machine room including different devices for general usage (deionizer water installation, grinder, dishwasher) and furnished offices.

The shared production facility accomodates companies engaged in micro and nanotechnology, both development and production. The building includes 20 high standard laboratories fitted out with all the necessary equipment, 13 high standard cleanrooms and 46 offices varying in size and a communal chemical process room. 

The production facility is situated on the campus of the University of Twente.

The multi-tenant business building offers 2600 m2 of laboratory and office space to companies active in BioScience. The lettable space is divided into 12 units.

The units intended for laboratory space are equipped with various laboratory facilities such as lab tables, fume cupboards, hazardous substances centers, eye showers and specific workspaces.

The Business Innovation Centre offers a co-working building for space-related companies. It is located on the Space Business Park, Noordwijk, a site especially for (aero)space-related companies. The centre houses offices ranging from flexdesks up to offices of 250m2.

Test and research facilities are in the immediate vicinity and affiliated to ESA/ESTEC, the biggest research facility from the European Space Agency. Start-up companies are granted access to these facilities via participation in the ESA BIC start-up program.

The Rotterdam Science Tower is a multi-company building: a mixture of lab space, offices and facilities for laboratory education. It is a centre of innovation for high-quality biomedical companies.

It offers laboratories that deserve the label of high-quality. They satisfy all national and international standards and requirements that apply to the establishment of laboratories, including: ML II, BSL II, and FDA.

To carry out its research the academic institute has four research laboratories. These laboratories are open to external users.

The facilities provide a range of techniques for lithography, deposition, etching, and characterization. Industrial users have access to produce structures and to characterize these at microscale and nanoscale.

The building has been designed for start-ups and mature knowledge-intensive businesses active in the domains of agriculture, food, bio-based economy and healthy living.

The Life Sciences incubator is a business centre for start-ups and more established companies in the bioscience field and consists of both laboratories (1.570 m2) and offices (1.740 m2).

The building is designed so that it has an inviting character and can accommodate future growth and shrinkage of users. The incubator was taken into use in 2017 and has an outstanding BREEAM rating.

During 2019 the construction of a multi-tenant building on Leiden Bioscience Park that offers 6 floors of laboratory and office space will start.
The building has been designed with great attention to the well-being of the users, to flexibility and the possibilities for modern working.
It combines efficiency with allure and will be in use at the end of 2020.

The high ceilings and generous floor space are two important elements of the building’s flexibility.

Besides laboratory facilities, cleanrooms, pilot plants and conditioned rooms can also be rented.

The incubator houses both start-ups and scale-ups, as well as mature companies and is located at a business and science park specifically intended for companies in food, life sciences and health.

The incubator distinguishes itself by great flexibility in the offer.

The laboratory is located in a multi-tenant complex on a tech campus and makes high quality materials available to companies, such as a high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS), a gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) and an ion chromatograph. The inventory includes all standard materials (autoclafe, fume cupboards, gases, glassware).

Rent for short periods is possible. The lab is open to companies located on campus and from elsewhere.

It concerns a sustainable building, with an 8,000 m2 GLA divided over four floors with extensive application of smart building technology. A research institute is located on the ground and part of first floor. The other floors with offices and laboratories are available for technology and LS businesses.

The building contains a combination of very specific low-vibration conditions with flexible laboratory space. Two small atriums function as meeting places for researchers and employees of the various organisations.

The building, with over 5000m2 of floorspace, is specifically equipped to house starting chemical and Life Sciences ventures and provides a combination of laboratory and office space.

Flexibilty and sustainability are the basic aspects of the design of the building (completed in 2013). Each of the five floors can be subdivided into small units, but businesses can also rent a half or whole floor. The ground floor also contains several amenities such as conference rooms and a restaurant open to all.

The origin of the building lies in the BioPartner programme intended to accommodate Life Science start-ups. The total lettable floor area is  4400 m2.

In the design, a transparent glass substructure was chosen, above which a closed stone block ‘floats’. This part contains the laboratories. The laboratories are provided with a fivefold or sixfold ventilation system en are equipped with fuel cupboards, safety cupboards and standard equipment.

The cleanroom is part of the infrastructure of a nanotechnology research institute with a focus on the areas Health, ICT and Sustainability.

The cleanroom has a floor area of 1250 square meters and offers a wide variety of technologies and equipment. It is available for  researchers of knowledge institutes and also expressly for use by companies and start-ups. Staff members  and researchers can provide technical and technological assistance where necessary.

The location provides 12,000 m2 of space and facility to test (more) sustainable technologies and produce on a commercial scale and all related activities.

The site features a comprehensive environmental permit. This benefits tenants by greatly shortening the licence process per pilot. 600 m2 of laboratory space is available. It has good delivery and removal capabilities; Delivery and removal of equipment and materials of virtually any size is possible. The facility distinguishes itself in the flexibility of rental period.
