MRI scanner lab with neuroscience incubator
The location houses spin-off companies in the field of cognitive neuroscience, an integrated scannerlab for three fMRI scanners with ultra-high magnetic fields and the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. Both knowledge institutions and companies can use the scanner lab.
The building was erected in 2012 to provide a single physical and virtual home for the business community, education and fundamental research in neuroscience. The building supports and encourages cooperation and collaboration among its tenants.
Life sciences incubator on health campus
The incubator with laboratory and office facilities was newly built in 2005 for start-up companies in the field of Life Sciences. It has a GLA of approximately 6,000 m2 and houses about 30 start-ups in 2019.
These companies benefit from easy access to the university and the wide range of research it offers. They meet regularly, share knowledge and experience. The architecture of the building supports and encourages this cooperation and collaboration among its tenants.
Laboratories and demo facility to accelerate biobased innovations
The campus facilitates innovative entrepreneurs to develop new, sustainable materials and chemicals for the building materials and packaging industry from renewable feed stocks (biomass). A brand-new demo facility for pilot plants enables companies to scale up their biobased production.
It has a small process laboratory available where experiments can be carried out within fume hoods and in modern laboratory setups. In addition, there is cooperation with a range of specialized laboratories for upscaling biobased innovations.
Pilot facility for industrial biotech products and processes
The pilot plant is a state-of-the art 5.000 m2 facility consisting of piloting equipment, supporting labs and office space. The pilot plant is to adapt to specific piloting needs and bridge the gap between development and commercial scale production.

Accelerator for life sciences research companies
The accelerator offers space to growing life sciences research companies and organisations that have outgrown the incubator phase and need larger office space and laboratory volumes.
The ten-storey building has a total surface area of 8,500 square meters. Each floor is home to a number of offices, wet laboratories and lab-support rooms. The accelerator building was completed in 2003 and is physically connected to the life sciences incubator of the science park.
Facilities for applied plastics technology
The center facilitates and accelerates innovations in the field of applied plastics technology. It offers (member) companies a.o. access to high-end accomodation and shared facilities.
Technology and equipment are readily available for use, for example, for injection moulding, extrusion, compounding, (powder) coating, 3D printing and material analyses.
Specialized testing areas are part of the facilities.
Hightech research laboratories in the field of mobility
The high-quality research laboratories and mobility test facilities are located on a very extensive campus site.
All laboratories, simulators, control rooms and indoor and outdoor test facilities together on this campus site offer the possibility to research the most diverse new technologies in the field of smart and green mobility.
900 m2 labfacilities for (bio)technological start-ups
The labfacilities are part of an incubator. This building provides office space and 900 m² of high-quality labs. All laboratories are suitable for (bio)technological research at ML1 and ML2 safety level and are outfitted with a number of basic lab facilities. The incubator offers joint use of large, costly lab equipment like an autoclave, a freezing machine, a -80 degree freezer and weighing equipment.
The building is designed with several animated sites for interaction, informal consult and unplanned meetings.
Upscaling facility for biobased experiments
The upscaling facility offers small and medium-sized businesses, large companies and research centres an infrastructure for working together on biobased product development and process optimisation. Within the facility researchers, students and entrepreneurs work together on biobased issues.
For an agreed fee, the business community can make use of the space, equipment and/or expertise of the facilty to test their laboratory results in a semi-industrial environment.

The multi-company building offers both offices and extensive laboratory facilities. The building is located within walking distance of the university medical centre.
The laboratories are equipped as standard with fume cupboards and lab tables.
Flexibility is an important principle for the manager, for example office units can be rented as from 20 m2.
The manager applies the ‘easy in – easy out’ principle, which translates into short rental periods specifically for starters.
Lab and fablab for innovation in medical technology

Innovation centre near space research facilities
The Business Innovation Centre offers a co-working building for space-related companies. It is located on the Space Business Park, Noordwijk, a site especially for (aero)space-related companies. The centre houses offices ranging from flexdesks up to offices of 250m2.

During 2019 the construction of a multi-tenant building on Leiden Bioscience Park that offers 6 floors of laboratory and office space will start.

The multi-tenant business building was taken into use in 2015 and houses high-grade cleanrooms for the manufacture of hightech products. Furthermore, the building includes office spaces.

The laboratory is located in a multi-tenant complex on a tech campus and makes high quality materials available to companies, such as a high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS), a gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) and an ion chromatograph. The inventory includes all standard materials (autoclafe, fume cupboards, gases, glassware).

Science incubator for Technology and Life Sciences businesses
It concerns a sustainable building, with an 8,000 m2 GLA divided over four floors with extensive application of smart building technology. A research institute is located on the ground and part of first floor. The other floors with offices and laboratories are available for technology and LS businesses.
The building contains a combination of very specific low-vibration conditions with flexible laboratory space. Two small atriums function as meeting places for researchers and employees of the various organisations.
Multi-user building for starting chemical and LS ventures
The building, with over 5000m2 of floorspace, is specifically equipped to house starting chemical and Life Sciences ventures and provides a combination of laboratory and office space.
Flexibilty and sustainability are the basic aspects of the design of the building (completed in 2013). Each of the five floors can be subdivided into small units, but businesses can also rent a half or whole floor. The ground floor also contains several amenities such as conference rooms and a restaurant open to all.
Multi-tenant building dedicated to Life Sciences companies
The origin of the building lies in the BioPartner programme intended to accommodate Life Science start-ups. The total lettable floor area is 4400 m2.
In the design, a transparent glass substructure was chosen, above which a closed stone block ‘floats’. This part contains the laboratories. The laboratories are provided with a fivefold or sixfold ventilation system en are equipped with fuel cupboards, safety cupboards and standard equipment.
Cleanroom (1250 m2) for nano- en microfabrication
The cleanroom is part of the infrastructure of a nanotechnology research institute with a focus on the areas Health, ICT and Sustainability.
The cleanroom has a floor area of 1250 square meters and offers a wide variety of technologies and equipment. It is available for researchers of knowledge institutes and also expressly for use by companies and start-ups. Staff members and researchers can provide technical and technological assistance where necessary.
Test facility for chemical process technology
The location provides 12,000 m2 of space and facility to test (more) sustainable technologies and produce on a commercial scale and all related activities.
The site features a comprehensive environmental permit. This benefits tenants by greatly shortening the licence process per pilot. 600 m2 of laboratory space is available. It has good delivery and removal capabilities; Delivery and removal of equipment and materials of virtually any size is possible. The facility distinguishes itself in the flexibility of rental period.

The campus focuses on healthy food and nutrition, future farming and biocircular economy. It offers state-of-the-art laboratories, pilot plants and trial sites for rent and joint R&D.
