The Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam is a community of 25± innovative companies housed in a state-of-the-art, sustainable building in the heart of Amsterdam. Everything on their campus revolves around the further development of technologies and innovative energy solutions, with the aim of bringing them to market quickly. They offer a unique infrastructure for testing and scaling game-changing ideas in their cutting-edge laboratories and offices. The Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam offers both shared and dedicated lab spaces for rent ranging from 20 to 500 square meters. Their lab spaces are all unique and equipped with various installations.

The Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam is a large, operational laboratory facility. In many cases, you can directly benefit from the shared infrastructure already available, such as industrial gases, waste treatment, and environmental permits.

Their expertise lies in TRL 3-6, with exceptions existing at both ends of the spectrum.

Joining ETCA grants you direct access to their vibrant campus and its dynamic ecosystem. As a member, you’ll enjoy privileges including access to their (co-working) office floors and participation in ETCA’s events. 3D printing services

  • The 3D printing lab at ETCA is enriched with various plastic and metal 3D printers, which have a printing size up to 500 x 500 x 400 mm. The workshop offers capabilities of the entire 3D printing process, this includes post – processing: Heat treatment, wire EDM and bandsaw to remove parts from build plate, multi -axis turning and milling capabilities available in mechanical workshop.

Mechanical workshop

  • The workshop within ETCA has a wide variety of manufacturing techniques. Through the efforts of experienced people and a broad collection of machinery, the Mechanical Workshop develops together with their customers the desired products that are needed for the R&D labs. The machine park varies from conventional to multi-axis CNC machines and complex glassware to 3D-printing in metals and plastics. Their presence on site allows them to respond quickly and provide ad-hoc services for their customers.

Glass Workshop

  • Glass has traditionally been widely used in laboratories, as it’s transparent and chemical resistant. The strength of the final product depends on the design: glass reactors can be designed and built to withstand pressures of up to 50 bar. The glass workshop designs (including 3D – models), calculates and manufactures: prototypes, components and pressurized glassware.

Project Delivery

  • The Experimental Installations project team delivers projects by providing support and advise in designing, engineering, procuring, fabricating, installing, testing, commissioning, and starting up research units. The team is composed of qualified multidiscipline engineers and technicians who work closely together with stakeholders, to deliver R&D projects within agreed scope.

Specialist technical services

  • Including but not limited to gas detection, calibration, pressure testing and O2 clean services.

ETCA is located directly across Amsterdam Central Station at the banks of the IJ-river and can be easily reached by public transport, car and is a short ferry ride away from Amsterdam Central station. On foot from the ferry, it will take approx. 10 min to reach the campus.
